Trekkin' through the land like a bison
Roamin' on a geothermal hunt
Sloshin' through the mud and lovin' it
Spendin' too much time on the bus
Crawlin' on our way to a Western Jew-el
Hidden in a valley where locals go
Gotta thank Seth for lovin' the outside
Took us on a journey where we went inside
Inside...
Ooooooooooo
Boise, Ketchum, Sawtooth Mountains,
I don't know which one to run to,
Now I need a nature's soakin'
Take me on a snake river ride now!
Idaho, Idaho, Idaho, Idaho, Idaho, Idaho, Idaho, Idaho, Idaho
Yes we can, with our friends, you're all crazy just like me
If you're from the land of Idaho,
Don't you know I love you so?
Yes we can, with our friends, you're all crazy just like me
If you're from the land of Idaho,
Don't you know I love you so?
Take me to Idaho!

Sister
07:06
|
|||
She was a victim of
A climate that provided a permit to commit violence
on a woman's body,
Her soul, her mind, and her authority
Only 17, and they called it murder
I own my way
You can go away
Sister!
Take my sister by the hand, my sister by the hand
Show my sister love
Take my sister by the hand, my sister by the hand,
Protect my sister now
Here you go again,
Using every tool you have to condescend,
You want the baby born but not supported
You want them dead from war just not aborted.
A woman's womb is not a factory
And her children aren't your worker bees
If my sister lead a life of ease
She might have been allowed to believe she's worth more
than the deed she bargained for
She needs support not condemnation
She needs a future not damnation
I believe in my daughters
Not our nation's fathers
to tend the fertile ground of our future
I own my way
You can go away
Sister!
Take my sister by the hand, my sister by the hand
Show my sister love
Take my sister by the hand, my sister by the hand,
Protect my sister now

Who That Be?

The man, now who that be?
That's a little foggy but what he taught me is quite clear
Have no mercy
Engrain fear in those with less power than me

Steamship Enterprise

Oh, how the planet turns
Oh, how my nostrils burn,
Oh, how my pores unlearn,
Oh, how my people yearn
For dripping dripping dripping,
Water dripping dripping dripping...
I'm sweating out a drop for every sin
On the steamship enterprise
I'm lapping up the wine below your chin
On this hazy space reprise
Oooh, I can't get up just now I'm feeling too glued
Oooh, the planet's heating up but I'm a cool fool
I'm letting all the precious vapors in
As I shed my flesh disguise
I'm landing on a cloud below my fin
On the steamship enterprise
Oooh, I can't get up just now I'm feeling too glued
Oooh, the planet's heating up but I'm a cool fool
Oh, how the planet turns
Oh, how my nostrils burn,
Oh, how my pores unlearn,
Oh, how my people yearn
For dripping dripping dripping,
Water dripping dripping dripping...
Wash away the stink with a bubble bath
Separate your body let it all relax
You and me, you and me
Tu y yo, unas gotitas
Rotting in the soil are the bones of those who died hungry
Succulent roots shrivel in the sun we shade ourselves from
We made that greenhouse gas, now we live among the ashes.

I see my shadow that lurks in the dark
I ponder this and I ponder that
I see my shadow that lurks in the dark
I see my shadow that lurks in the dark
I ponder this and I ponder that
I see my shadow that lurks in the dark
Mountainside, Mountainside
Gonna go to the mountains now, gonna go, gonna go to the mountains now
I sentimental feel like a manikin
I find this detrimental staring at the Vatican
I positively tried to change my vibe
but in the city I find the two worlds collide
Do I lose all my hopes and aspirations
because pharmaceuticals exasperate
Giant buildings and billboards are overrated
All the multi-nationals conglomerate
And now I'm sitting in my cubicle
pleaing with my queen my boss she never lets me ever out early
All my body wants is to get dirty
Gonna go to the mountainside and get dirty
'Cause I been in this city for so long
A concrete jungle with a chain of wrongs
We must escape this corporate prison
Go to the mountainside, leave this dungeon
Gonna go to the mountains now, Gonna go, gonna go to the mountains now
I alone gross more than Mompos, a pueblo on the coast of Colombia, I'm sure some of ya understand this kind of flow.
We signed the same plan and written below it says you've signed your soul, to the man in bold letters. I shoulda planned this out better.
I'm at a desk all day in analysis, my left side developed paralysis, my brain must be covered in callouses, cause I didn't grow up in no palaces.
I was a farm-boy from the Rockies and maintained a healthy build. Ate all my vegetables and spent my days out in the field
But I watched too much tv and realized this life wasn't for me. I moved to the city, became obsessed with looking pretty.
Began to get paid and prayed I'd maintain this life til my dying day. But the doctor just showed me three damn spots where my blood is starting to clot.
It's time to seek a spot where I can go and grow old
What a relief that I've told what I believe
I don't know how long I've been here
I sure have not been counting
I will now cease to appear
I'm going back to the mountains
Back to the mountains!

There is no simple formula for the relationship of art to justice. But I do know that art, in my own case the art of poetry, means nothing, if it simply decorates the dinner table of power which holds it hostage.
99% Let's stay united!
Waged a peaceful war, we'll continue to fight it.
As we grow we'll show you can't silence the choir.
People ready aim fire!
Perpetual greed has led me to concede that if we're to be freed we must plant some new seeds
1% you're confused
Your souls have been used and if power's your muse then your art is abuse.
Our species at large, and laugh as we starve,
You think you're in charge since you managed to carve
this concept of fear which makes us unclear,
And now we adhere to the shit that appears
Normal and common
Like droppin' a bomb in Iraq and 'Nam and
Where is our shaman to wake us up?
You made this up! You got us killing ourselves now let's break this up.
Let's connect with our peeps, let's connect with ourselves.
Picture our potential without this focus on wealth!
And that's our future path, we don't care if you laugh.
99 versus 1. It's pretty simple math.

Rage of Love
06:27
|

And when I swim it's not me
It's body in the sea
Rage of love
My impressions are a narrative to which this world is indifferent
Oooh...
It's not a pool I dip my fingers into
It's an ocean that I drown through
And when I swim it's not me
It's my body in the sea
Rage of Love
It's not a pool I dip my fingers into
It's an ocean that I drown through
And when I swim it's not me
It's my body in the sea

Is it better to stay?
Though I'm fiendin' to go traveling
But if I run away
I'll just be back here again
I've learned a new way to avoid goodbye
I live on the earth
That's my house
I nestle in dirt
And whatever I've found
Dreaming of the place I left the other day
Feels good to be home!
When I jump in a lake
At least once every day
No bills to pay
No reason to stay
That's where I belong
That's where I'll make my grave
And so I return
for just a short while
The world has turned
You've moved a mile
Words can't prepare me for what I've missed
Feels good to be home!
Cocina abierta
Gatita contenta
Amigos riendo
Mi amor durmiendo
Horno caliente
Bueno ambiente
Comida fresca del jardin
Hoja suave
Nada grave
Come agave
Toca la clave
Calle conocido, que divertido todo compartido en casa por fin!
En Medellin
O donde quiere
Mi familia
esta en casa

There's a man jumping off the planet
He's in a space suit
And he's ready to go
He's probably looking for a new perspective
He's probably following a new directive
He probably got a bit too inspective
He probably saw the government closing in
There's a man jumping off the planet
He's in a space suit
And he's ready to go
He's probably looking for a permanent vacation
And he probably left his bags at the station
He probably received an interstellar invitation
He probably saw the tax man closing in
There's a man jumping off the planet
He's in a space suit
And he's ready to go

Antioquia Oakland
Antioquia [an-tee-OH-kee-ah] plays music. The music they play comes from the universe. It is filtered through progressive rock, funk, hip-hop, traditional rhythms from Latin America and West Africa, and pretty much anything they hear and see and feel. And smell. And taste. The band began in Antioquia, Colombia and was incubated in San Francisco. They continue to grow wings in Oakland, CA. ... more
